Since the MRCOOL® VersaPro® Packaged Unit comes in two different models, it's somewhat personal preference! If your home has natural gas or propane, then the Gas/Electric model may be right for you. If you want to go electric-only, the Heat Pump model is a great choice.

Can the VersaPro® Package Units be installed on a rooftop?

The Gas/Electric package unit can be installed on a flat roof or angled roof with brackets because it has a horizontal or downflow airflow, while the Heat Pump cannot because it is only horizontal.
