  • HVLS stands for high-volume low-speed. An HVLS fan is a ceiling fan greater than 7 feet (2.1 meters) in diameter, and is typically used to improve airflow and temperature in spaces like warehouses, gyms, and other large areas.

  • The CoolBlade™ cannot be run in reverse. Even if it could, it would not be effective, because this HVLS fan has curved fan blades that are designed to move the maximum amount of air downward. We recommend turning the fan on a low speed in the winter to move warm air throughout the space.
