On the Multi-Zone do you have to connect all of your air handlers to your condenser?

You do not have to connect each and every air handler in your home to the condenser, but you do need enough air handlers connected such that at least 75% of the condenser's BTU capacity is met. For example, if you purchase a 4 zone system with a 36k BTU condenser and 4 individual 9k BTU air handlers, at least 3 of those 4 air handlers will need to be installed and connected for the system to run.
