The MRCOOL® Olympus Series is a ductless mini-split system that uses a heat pump as the outdoor unit and the air handler as the indoor unit to provide powerful heating and cooling to your home. You'll enjoy consistent temperatures and exceptional energy efficiency as proven by Energy-Star Certification. This system requires a professional installation.
You do not have to connect each and every air handler in your home to the condenser, but you do need enough air handlers connected such that at least 75% of the condenser's BTU capacity is met. For example, if you purchase a 4 zone system with a 36k BTU condenser and 4 individual 9k BTU air handlers, at least 3 of those 4 air handlers will need to be installed and connected for the system to run.
Most retailers sell the Olympus E Star® series in a bundle with the indoor and outdoor units included, some even including the line sets, though the option to purchase individual pieces is available.
Yes, the indoor air handler will come with the necessary equipment to mount it onto the wall. If you'd like to mount the outdoor condenser unit, you will need to purchase that mounting bracket separately.
